A big thank you goes to all the teams who took part including Downings who were the overall winners. A special thank you goes to Gerard Walsh, his management team and the Ladies Committee for their work. Also the refreshments provided including the healthy eating section organised by the club’s health and welfare officer Elaine McFadden was a credit to the club. Well done to everyone involved. TUS scheme opening at ClubhouseIf there is anybody who is unemployed and is interested in joining the TUS scheme at Glenswilly GAA Clubhouse, can they please contact chairman Peter McConnell.Third teamThe third team play their final group game this Sunday, August 2nd against Naomh Ultan in Glenswilly.Throw in is at 3pm and all support is welcomed by the team. Under 10 blitz in DublinThe under 10 boys and girls team have been invited to a blitz in dublin. The date is Saturday 8 th of August.The blitz is for children born in the years of 2005 and 2006. A bus will be going to the blitz and bringing your child home that evening.Please return the Permission slips that have been issued at training tonight at the information meeting next Tuesday the 4th of August at 6.20 , while training is on. The cost of the trip will 10 euro.Please text your child’s availability to lee on 0866059117 as soon as you can .Could you please send an email to [email protected] and we shall forward more details later in the week.ThanksCancelled gamesThe senior and reserve games against St Michaels which was due to b played last Sunday was cancelled because of a waterlogged pitch. These games will be rescheduled.Bingo Bingo continues in the hall at Wednesday with more than €2,000 in prizes on offer each night. The action starts at 9pm and players are advised to get there early. Anybody who can lend a hand at the bingo is asked to contact Paul Lapsley.Summer campThe annual kids summer camp takes place at the clubhouse between Wednesday and Friday next, 5th – 7th of August. All places have been booked on the camp. This camp, which has been a huge success over the past three years, would not be possible but for the hard work of volunteers.
